PLASTERING SERVICES

Spokes and Sons Plastering provides a variety of plastering services for all plastering requirements. We offer the following services:
Skimming
Using a finishing plaster on either new plasterboard or over existing walls or ceilings we can create a totally smooth finish to your walls in preparation for painting or wall papering.
Skimming over Artexed Ceilings
This process involves carefully scratching back any high spots within the Artexed pattern and sealing the surface before applying two layers of finishing plaster. The plaster is worked into a smooth surface which can be painted when totally dry.
Float and Set
A traditional style of plastering sometimes known as wet plastering. This process requires a wet undercoat plaster such as sand and cement or browning/bonding coat which is trowelled onto the walls usually around 11mm thick. When this undercoat plaster has set a skim coat is then applied.
